There has been no significant improvement in the scrap volume of the scrap battery market. Both the inventory at the recycling end and the smelting end are not abundant. Due to the scarcity of supply, most enterprises in various regions have indicated that it is not meaningful to raise procurement quotes, as it would only increase competitive pressure. Therefore, after the lead price rose during the week, the price of scrap batteries did not follow suit enthusiastically (except for some enterprises in east China). Currently, the mainstream procurement price for tax-excluded scrap e-bike lead-acid batteries at smelters ranges from 10,000 to 10,100 yuan/mt. However, due to the increase in the operating rate of secondary lead production, the procurement demand for scrap batteries still supports their prices.
The supply of domestically produced secondary crude lead is scarce, and overseas crude lead (from Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, etc.) has flowed into the domestic market to supplement it. Currently, the supply situation is relatively sporadic, and subsequent attention will be paid to the impact of price changes on the arrivals of overseas crude lead. As of July 4, 2025, the mainstream tax-included price for secondary crude lead is reported to be around 16,950 yuan/mt, and the self pick-up price for overseas crude lead is approximately 16,750 yuan/mt.
